At the Seashore - Lighting the Way

Welcome to AT THE SEASHORE.  My name is Mary Andra Holmes, aka MahQuilter Designs.   I am one of four sisters who design under Sisters Quilting Trunk.

I was born and raised on Long Island.  Even though we now live in AZ, if I close my eyes, I can hear and smell the bays and the ocean.  My favorite memories were the lighthouses, lighting the way, around the outskirts of the island.  Keeping boaters safe from underwater rock formations and shorelines hidden by high tides was a must.

I mainly used Origami fabric collection by Janet Clair.  Added a touch of Midwinter Reds by Minick & Simpson and Susanna's Scraps 1830-1875 by Betsy Chutchian for Moda Fabric + Supplies.

This post is part of our summer quilt-along series. Find the rest of the posts by clicking {here}.
