BH3 Block 15 - Starry Eyed

BH3 Block 15 - Starry Eyed

Good morning!

There have been fourteen blocks from fourteen Block Heads designers, and Corey Yoder has made all of them.

BH3 Blocks Corey Yoder

This week's block is Starry Eyed.

Starry Eyed can be made in four sizes - 4", 6", 8" and 12" finished.  The instructions can be found here - Coriander Quilts.

Corey has been sharing a new collection lately - it's showing to shops now, arriving there in September.  It's called Apricot & Ash.

There is a beautiful printed panel in the collection that looks like appliqué blocks.

This comes in two colorways - this ivory background and a lovely dark gray.

If you've been a Block Head since the beginning, you might remember this quilt by Betsy Chutchian.

This was Betsy's quilt for Block Heads 1.  Forty-eight 6" blocks.

BH1 Jan Patek Quilt

This is what Jan Patek made with the same blocks.  Pretty cool, isn't it?

The instructions for the forty-eight blocks and these two quilts were included in the Moda Block Heads book - along with the finished quilts by Lynne Hagmeier, Lisa Bongean, Jo Morton and me.

To celebrate the start of Round 2 of Block Heads 3, we're giving away copies of this book with a few Moda goodies.  (I think there's a Layer Cake or two involved.)

Leave a comment on this post by Midnight CST on Sunday, April 26 telling us how many Block Heads blocks you've made.

If you missed it, the instructions for Starry Eyed can be found here - Coriander Quilts.

If you have missed the instructions for any blocks - Block Heads 3 Archive.  (It will be updated every Wednesday and Friday.)

Be sure to check out what the other Block Heads are sharing - there are sure to be a few tips and variations:

Be sure to check out the Block Heads Facebook Group and look for Block Heads 3 on Instagram - #modablockheads and #modablockheads3.

It's Wednesday.  It's a good day to enjoy a Summer Breeze.  Even though it's April.

Stay safe.
