This block is classified as ambituous because it uses bias edges and is cut to the 1/8". Prepare you fabrics by starching and pressing before you cut to keep the bias edges from stretching. Use a ruler set with clear 1/8" markings.

INGREDIENTS

FABRIC A
* (4) 2⅞” x 5¼” rectangles
* (4) 3¼” squares cut once on the diagonal
* (4) 2⅞” squares

FABRIC B
* (4) 3¼” squares cut once on the diagonal
* (4) 2⅞” squares

FABRIC C
* (1) 2⅞” square

INSTRUCTIONS

MAKE HALF SQUARE TRIANGLES

Join Fabric A and Fabric B triangles to make an HST unit. Take care not to stretch the bias cut edge.

Join block units as shown. Trim to 12 1/2" square (unfinished size)
