Gingerbread House is today's setting! This one is quick and easy.

Gingerbread House is the perfect setting for those of you who didn't have time this holiday season to make all of the blocks. This setting finishes at 77" square.

  • (9) 6" blocks
  • (4) 24" blocks
  • 2.25 yards of sashing fabric cut into (12) 6.5" x 24.5" strips (you can use as little as 1.25 yards if you don't mind piecing the strips)
  • 0.5 yards Border 1 fabric cut into 2" x WOF strips. Trim selvedges and sew end-to end. Subcut:
    • (2) 2" x 66.5" strips for side borders
    • (2) 2" x 69.5" strips for top/bottom borders
  • 1 yard Border 2 fabric cut into 4" x WOF strips. Trim selvedges and sew end-to end. Subcut:
    • (2) 4" x 69.5" for side borders
    • (2) 4" x 77.5" for top/bottom borders

Join the blocks and borders as shown.

Press well. Baste, bind and quilt as desired.
