Merry Christmas!

Today's block is sweet and simple. It's a great filler if you'd like to expand your block collection. I named it merri*mint after those old fashioned soft mints we always had at Christmas time. This block would be just as sweet in red and green but I've chosen just two red prints for mine.

This quilt block finishes at 6" square.

A. (5) 1 1/2" squares
B. (4)  1 1/2" x 3" rectangles
C. (4) 2" squares
D. (8) 1 1/2" x 2" rectangles

(1) Make (4) four-patch units by combining A, C, and D pieces.

(2) Join the four-patches together with B rectangle between.

(3) Join the rows with the center strip which consists of two Bs and one A piece.

Press and square up to 6 1/2".

This quilt block measures 6" square finished.
