June 2023 – Vintage Greenstone 

• Starting date – Late June 2023
• Duration- 3 weeks
• Fabrics – Greenstone by Jen Kingwell
• Pattern -Will be available as a download during the QAL.

• This quilt is made featuring a dessert roll- 5" x 45" strips

  Background and corner squares- 5 yds 18232 11

  Backing- 2 1/2 yds of 18221 11 and 18225 11 for a faux pieced back

  Binding- strips from leftover dessert roll for scrappy binding

 

June 2023 – Twilight Stars QAL 

• Starting date – Late June 2023
• Fabrics – FQ or F8 bundles of Rustic Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings and Spellbound by Sweetfire Road and 2 1/2 yds background of your choice.

• Book- Triangle Gatherings Stock # PRI 1005  and Triangle Papers  1/2", 3/4" and 1" sizes

WEEK 1: Stitching the white Blooming Bias onto the letters / stars

WEEK 2: Stitching the other Blooming Bias colors to outline the floral elements

WEEK 3: Quilting – either free motion quilt it yourself  or send it to the long arm. For long arm quilting, we suggest a more open pantograph that is not too dense – or even better – custom quilting that quilts around the designs.

WEEK 4: How to finish it with Chenille-It in place of binding.

 

Materials Needed:

 

(1) ‘Tis the Season panel , stock #  5188 11P from the Christmas Eve collection by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics.

4 yards backing fabric (we used SKU #5181 14, but you can pick your favorite print)

1 roll + 8 yards “White” 3/8” Blooming Bias

1 roll “Chocolate” 3/8” Blooming Bias

15 yards “Sage” 3/8” Blooming Bias- EXCLUSIVE COLOR

3 yards “Red” 3/8” 3 yards” Blooming Bias

1 roll “Fern” 3/8” Blooming Bias

1 yard “Pale Pink” 5/8” Blooming Bias

1 roll “White” 5/8” Blooming Bias (for “Jolly” letters and binding)
